  • Prepared baklava dough.
  • Half a cup of ghee or corn oil.
  • Half a cup of butter.
  • Two cups of pistachios, crushed (for the filling).
  • 1 tablespoon orange blossom water (for filling)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (for the filling)

How to prepare

  • Prepare the oven before you start preparing the baklava tray and preheat the oven to a temperature of 200 degrees Celsius.
  • Take a circular tray, 25 cm in diameter, and grease it with a little ghi or vegetable oil.
  • In a deep bowl, place as much ghee (or as much oil as you want) and butter, and melt the ingredients over low heat.
  • Bring the baklava dough, which consists of several layers, and remove it from the plastic bag that covers it, then cover the dough with a dry towel, so that it does not dry out, while you prepare the recipe.
  • Take three pieces of dough sheets, and grease each layer with ghee and melted butter, with a special brush, and place the layers after spreading them on the tray, one on top of the other.
  • Continue the method until you reach half of the baklava dough, which is an average of six or seven layers.
  • Mix the pistachios, flower water and the amount of sugar, until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
  • Spread the mixture of pistachios, sugar and rose water, over the dough you have prepared in the tray.
  • Do the same as you did with the rest of the baklava dough, brushing it with butter and butter.
  • Place the layers of dough on top of the filling you put on the dough in the baklava tray.
  • Grease the face of the dough with the butter and butter mixture, and place it in the oven, which you have preheated to 200 degrees Celsius, for 30 minutes.
